We are pleased to announce that IGI Global was very positive about book a proposal (with Book Editors Dr. Maria Avgerinou and Dr. Stefanos Gialamas) and thus recommended its publication with the title, "Revolutionizing K-12 Blended Learning Through the i2Flex Classroom Model."

The book has been tentatively placed in the Advances in Educational Technologies and Instructional Design (AETID) book series, with a release date in early 2016.

The book will

  • Present research and trends related to blended learning in the K12, as well as research outcomes of the specific i2Flex methodology as seen in its various ACS Athens applications where the Community of Inquiry Framework (CoI), together with the QualityMatters® procedures and rubric have been extensively and ingeniously used to survey student satisfaction, and to evaluate the course design
  • Discuss and outline the educational leadership model (aristeia) and the parameters that need to be in place in order for such school-wide, technology-based innovation to succeed, and
  • Present individual case studies written by teachers who have implemented i2Flex in their classes

This last part of the book will essentially be the "voice from the trenches", and will contain not only the "what", and "so what", but also the "now what" of i2Flex implementation, while also capturing moments of the teachers as agents of change and reflective practitioners.
